Architect and designer Michele De Lucchi is the protagonist of the sixth edition of the Nature of monographic exhibitions, on which occasion the host is asked to design a site-specific installation representative of his research before the public.
For this occasion De Lucchi chose to represent himself through a sculptural element lying in-between the object and the building:
A missing ring is the element which connects distant parts of a broken and open chain. Nowadays we often need it. We need more and more rings to connect the multiple ramifications of social, political, economic, cultural, and moral relationships. But we also need more rings in order to physically connect, in the real life, the idea of full and void, of closed space and open space, of content and container.
