Francisco Carolinum Linz

Francisco Carolinum Linz houses modern, contemporary art and photography. It was founded in 1855 by Adalbert Stifter for the "enlightenment and education of the bourgeoisie". Francisco Carolinum Linz was built until 1895, according to the plans of the Berlin architect Bruno Schmitz. Today, the Francisco Carolinum Linz is the museum for Upper Austrian modern and contemporary art.
