Remy Blumenfeld

Remy Blumenfeld works as a coach and business advisor to entrepreneurs in the creative sector, including arts, media, television, film, fashion, and advertising. His clients include directors of national arts organizations, worldwide ad agencies, and a wide range of entrepreneurs. He writes extensively on creative leadership for Forbes, Inc., and Thrive Global. Additionally, he writes a weekly coaching advice column for The Hollywood Reporter and contributes to Meer Magazine about enriching experiences in hospitality. He has also written articles for many other periodicals, including The New York Times.

Starting his career as a TV presenter in the USA, Remy launched his first TV production company, Brighter Pictures, out of his bedroom in London. The company, known for shows like “My Worst Week,” “Tabloid Tales,” “A New Life,” and “Gay, Straight or Taken?” was sold to Endemol, the world’s largest production company, eight years later. He continued working at Endemol as a creative director and later joined ITV Studios as Director of Formats, where he was responsible for shows such as “Come Dine With Me” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”

Remy’s extensive experience in the television industry has not only seen him create and produce numerous popular shows but also take on significant roles such as serving on the board of Endemol UK and ITV Studios. His tenure at ITV Studios was marked by his involvement in exporting successful TV formats internationally, which contributed to the global reach of British television content. His work in television also included producing the first Asian pop culture show for BBC2 and a black music show for Channel 4, which aired for nine years. These programs helped bring diverse cultural content to mainstream audiences.

In addition to his work in television, Remy has served as a special advisor to TF1, France’s leading commercial broadcaster, and leads creative forums at Cap Gemini University and the Young Vic Theatre. He also collaborates with the London Business School on their entrepreneurship program. Remy has created, produced, and sold dozens of groundbreaking reality TV shows, often focusing on societal edges and bringing these themes into the mainstream. His work has earned him recognition, being twice ranked among the top twenty most influential LGBTQI+ people in the UK by the Independent on Sunday.

Remy’s journey into coaching emerged from personal adversities, including a life-threatening illness and the dissolution of his long-term relationship. These experiences led him to become certified as a grief counselor and later as a co-active coach from the Coaches Training Institute. Remy has worked with three of the world’s preeminent leadership coaches and now uses his extensive experience to help others achieve fulfillment and success in their professional and personal lives. His coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that personal and professional lives are deeply interconnected and that success in one area often leads to success in the other.

Remy’s work has been written about in several leading publications, including The New York Times, The Sunday Times, The Financial Times, Business Insider, Drum, Broadcast, and Monocle. As a media commentator, he has appeared on the BBC, Channel 4, FOX TV, ITV, and on shows such as Hard Copy, Geraldo, Joan Rivers, and This Morning. His insights on creative leadership and personal development are sought after by a wide audience, and his articles often explore the intersection of creativity, business, and personal growth.

Currently, Blumenfeld continues to support the creative industry through his writings, coaching, and innovative initiatives such as the “Stand Out” online program for creative startups. This program is designed to help new creative entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting and growing their businesses, providing them with the tools and strategies needed for success. His commitment to nurturing creative talent and leadership remains a key focus of his work, as he believes that the future of the creative industries depends on the development of strong, visionary leaders who can drive innovation and change.

In his personal life, Remy is dedicated to continuous learning and self-improvement. He regularly attends workshops and seminars to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in coaching and leadership. His personal experiences and professional journey have made him a compassionate and empathetic coach, dedicated to helping others achieve their full potential.
