TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) has announced its roster of international exhibitors, including Showcase and Focus participants, and the expansion of AXA XL’s position to global lead partner. AXA XL will also support the second installment of the TEFAF Summit in association with the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO.

The 2025 edition of TEFAF Maastricht returns to the Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Centre (MECC) from March 15 – 20, 2025 (March 13 and 14 by invitation only).

Widely regarded as the world’s premier fair for fine art, antiques, and design, TEFAF Maastricht brings together 7,000 years of art history from ancient to contemporary. This year, it showcases 266 of the finest dealers and galleries from 21 countries on 5 continents. The fair is unparalleled in presenting strictly vetted works of supreme historical merit and quality. It is an essential destination for global institutions, private collectors, and the broader international art market.

Since 2008, TEFAF has supported young and emerging dealer talent within the international art market through its Showcase initiative. In 2025, this section will host ten participating galleries whose breadth of expertise mirrors the scope of TEFAF Maastricht.

The following galleries have been selected: Amanita (NY, United States and Italy); Desmet Fine Art (Belgium); FENG J Joaillerie d'Art (China); Galerie Nicolas Fournery (France); Galerie Raphael Durazzo (France); Lyndsey Ingram (London, UK); Montagut Gallery (Spain); Objects With Narratives (Belgium); Poncelin de Raucourt Fine Arts (France); and VETA Galeria (Spain).

TEFAF’s newly appointed Managing Director, Dominique Savelkoul, comments, “As a foundation, TEFAF has rightly viewed support for young and emerging dealers as central to its mission. I am delighted to see the breadth and variety of this year’s galleries, from the Arts of Africa & Oceania to Chinese porcelain. Since the inception of Showcase in 2008, it has been the starting point for many leading international dealers. I hope this year’s participants will be inspired by the generations of galleries that have preceded them”.

TEFAF focus

TEFAF focus was a new initiative in 2024 to coalesce pioneering artists of different mediums and periods under one banner, thus aligning with TEFAF's overarching collecting philosophy. This section provides galleries with a unique curatorial platform to delve more deeply into the work of a single artist or concept. The 2025 TEFAF Focus participants are Ketabi Bourdet (France), Ceysson and Bénétière (France), Galerie Pauline Pavec (France), Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz (France), and Maria Wettergren (France) with five new galleries exhibiting this year: Paul Coulon (United Kingdom), Anne Sophie Duval (France), Mariane Ibrahim (France), Alexis Lartigue Fine Art (France), Richard Saltoun Gallery (United Kingdom).

TEFAF summit

TEFAF is proud to host the 2nd annual TEFAF summit at TEFAF Maastricht on 17 March in partnership with the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO. This special event will explore the challenges related to the lack of cultural funding in recent years and how philanthropy and impact investment could benefit the arts. Featuring prominent thought leaders, experts, and influential stakeholders from the arts, financial, academic, cultural heritage, and governmental sectors.

The TEFAF summit serves as a platform for meaningful discussions and collaboration to raise awareness and promote actionable solutions. For more information, subscribe to the TEFAF newsletter at TEFAF.com. The TEFAF Summit is graciously supported by TEFAF Maastricht’s Global Lead Partner, AXA XL.

AXA XL expands its role to global lead partner of TEFAF

In 2024, AXA XL proudly marked 20 years as the leading partner of TEFAF Maastricht. In 2025, AXA XL will support TEFAF on a global stage. Since the collaboration began in 2004, both organizations have united in a shared belief in the power of art to transform and enrich our lives and strengthen our communities. Sylvie Gleises, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore and Executive Sponsor – Fine Art, APAC & Europe, and member of TEFAF’s Global Advisory Board comments, “AXA XL and TEFAF’s close partnership over the last two decades can be summarized in three simple words: expertise, elegance, and excellence. We share TEFAF’s values and its efforts to sustain historical ties while enabling new pathways for creative expression. TEFAF and AXA XL recognize and celebrate art as a continuation of the past, anchoring us in the present, and steering us toward the future. We are thrilled to expand to a global role”.
