An experimental interdisciplinary project combining total installation and film show in an old mansion.
The exposition “VMayakovsky Atlas” includes various media, from works of painting and graphics to cultural and historical artifacts, photographs and archival materials. The viewer enters the space of total installation. The tour features as its semantic nodes the works by N. Goncharova, M. Larionov, T. Novikov, G. Chervinsky, E. Mitta, M. Romadin, F. Léger, K. Malevich, V. Mamyshev-Monroe, songs by V. Tsoi, etc. Leading contemporary artists (Vitaly Komar, Leonid Sokov, Alexander Kosolapov, Anton Vidokle, Joseph Kosuth, Herman Nitch, Sergei Bugaev-Africa, Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe, Georgy Guryanov, Oleg Kotelnikov, Dmitry Gutov) and philosophers (B. Groys, E. Andreeva, V. Paperny, B. Yangfeldt, E. Arenzon), as well as employees of the State Museum of V.V. Mayakovsky, the State Archive of Literature and Art, and the State Tretyakov Gallery worked as consultants for the project.
At the end of the tour, which will last about an hour, viewers will see the full-length feature film “VMayakovsky” by A. Shein. The film will be shown only on this site.
