The State Tretyakov Gallery presents an exhibition of watercolor graphic masterpieces of the XVIII–XX centuries from its collection. The exhibition will be held in Lavrushinsky Lane, 10, Halls 49–54.

The exposition will include over 250 pieces: famous ceremonial portraits by A.P. Bryullov, and P.F. Sokolov, pages from A.A. Ivanov’s biblical cycle, series of Surikov’s Italian and Spanish works from nature, works by M.A. Vrubel and V.E. Borisov-Musatov.

The exhibition will trace the most important stages of mastering this technique and various spheres of its application. The project is intended to identify the common and most characteristic trends in understanding vast possibilities of watercolor and to assess the diversity of individual manners of its use.
