Sea of Art is an exhibit of suspended sculpture installed throughout the gallery to give the impression of objects floating through an imaginary space. The walls surrounding are covered with works depicting water and sky leaving it ambiguous as to whether the sculptures are floating through the ocean or the air.
Artist and curator Airom put an open call out for the exhibit artists from across the US. Part curatorial, part installation this exhibit brings together artists’ works from a wide variety of genres and mediums, grouping them into an ocean of art. The show will be run until early March.
Airom is an Australian raised artist currently working in the US . His ‘Gestalt’ projects tie together large bodies of diverse artworks with a unifying perceptual theme.
