« Catoptric Ring », Otto Künzli (*1948). Bague dessinée en 1988 et réalisée en 1992. Or et miroir Catoptric désigne en grec ancien le miroir. Le miroir intégré dans la bague reflète l’œil de la personne qui la porte, lorsqu’elle l’observe. Otto Künzli est connu pour sa conception de bijoux qui s’inspirent souvent, dans une forme cryptée, à des thématiques sociales ou politiques. Copyright: Musée national suisse

Montagna di cotone a Khamgaon, India centrale, 1948 ca. Il cotone viene conservato nell’India centrale, quindi trasportato sulla costa, trasferito via mare e lavorato in Europa. L’azienda Volkart commercia in cotone indiano, ma dagli anni Trenta subisce grandi perdite, a causa della crisi economica mondiale e del movimento indipendentista indiano.
