Fabio Piccini is a medical doctor and a registered psychoanalist member of IAAP (International Association of Analytical Psychology) in Zurich who has focused around twenty-five years of counseling, consulting, teaching, training, and publication-writing on three main fields of strictly-related specialisation: eating disorders, mood disorders and personality disorders.

As a research fellow at UNIVPM Faculty of Medicine in Ancona he is currently researching on the neuro-biology of food preferences, food addictions, intermittent fasting and their impact on metabolic syndrome and obesity.
