A life woven with creativity and sustainability.

Merav Zverling, happily married to Roi and a loving mother of five, has always been drawn to the beauty and artistry of life. Growing up in Israel, she spent countless hours exploring her creativity through drawing, painting, knitting, and sewing. Her grandmother, a renowned seamstress in their community, played a pivotal role in nurturing her artistic talents. Under her grandmother's guidance, Merav learned the intricacies of knitting, crocheting and sewing, discovering a lifelong passion for crafting and creating. Actually, her first business was sewing scrunchies to her friends in school.

Later as a young teenager, Merav exhibited a keen sense of style. She loved experimenting with different outfits, mixing and matching pieces to create unique ensembles. Her ability to make a statement with limited clothing demonstrated her early talent for fashion.

Following her graduation from fashion school, Merav embarked on a successful career in the Israeli fashion industry. She specialised in designing children's and baby apparel, intimates, and socks. Her designs gained widespread popularity, and it's likely that many Israelis have worn one of her creations.

After over a decade of working in large fashion companies, Merav yearned for a more balanced lifestyle. The birth of her fourth child provided the perfect opportunity to transition to freelance design and work from home. This change allowed her to spend more quality time with her family while continuing to pursue her creative passions.

Three years ago, Merav and her family made a significant life change by relocating to Costa Rica. The country's natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere resonated deeply with her. In Costa Rica, she not only welcomed her fifth child but also found a permanent home in a picturesque beach town.

Her days in Costa Rica are filled with joy and fulfilment. She enjoys daily walks in nature, exploring the beautiful beaches, traveling to new destinations, and working remotely as a fashion and graphic designer.

One of Merav's proudest achievements in Costa Rica has been the launch of her sustainable swimwear line. Driven by her commitment to environmental responsibility, she sought out a high-quality fabric made from regenerated nylon yarn. This innovative material is derived from discarded nylon waste, such as fishing nets and textile scraps, that would otherwise pollute the oceans.

Merav's swimwear collection is not only eco-friendly but also stylish and functional. The fabric offers a shaping effect, UV protection, and resistance to sand and sunscreen stains. By choosing sustainable materials and designing pieces that are both fashionable and practical, Merav aims to empower women and girls to make conscious choices while looking and feeling their best.

Beyond her work as a fashion designer, Merav is also passionate about giving back to her community. She volunteers her time to local organisations that focus on environmental conservation and social justice. Her dedication to making a positive impact on the world is evident in her actions and her commitment to sustainability.

Merav's journey is a testament to her unwavering passion for creativity, her dedication to sustainability, and her unwavering love for her family. Through her work as a fashion designer and her commitment to environmental responsibility, she continues to inspire others to embrace a more sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle.

In addition to her fashion design and community involvement, Merav has also developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Costa Rica. She enjoys exploring the country's diverse ecosystems, hiking through lush rainforests, and surfing the pristine waves along the Pacific coast. Her connection to nature has further fueled her passion for sustainable living and her desire to protect the planet.

Merav's journey is a reminder that it is never too late to pursue our dreams and make a positive impact on the world. By following our passions and living with purpose, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.
