I am Maria-Georgia Konstantinou, a twenty-four-year-old ambitious woman coming from Greece, who tries to follow her dreams. My journey started in 2018, when I gave national exams and entered the department of international and European studies of the University of Piraeus in Athens.

After four years of studying, I graduated from the department of International and European Studies of the Piraeus University in 2022. During the years of attending the bachelor’s degree courses, I was interested in other professional domains as well. Firstly, as a laboratory researcher at the University of Piraeus, I did my first publication in 2020 concerning a geopolitical analysis of a conflict in Caucasus.

Afterwards, I decided to do an Erasmus internship, and life led me to the Embassy of Greece in Slovakia. Returning back to Athens after three months in Slovakia as an Erasmus intern, I knew that a new path had been created. Since then I have participated in many Erasmus exchanges, training courses, and seminars in an attempt to travel, meet new people, and educate myself.

In the last year of studies, I did an internship through the university in a non-governmental strategic studies organization, where my second publication was achieved concerning a crisis between two countries. The internship was completed with my first official public-speaking experience in a detailed presentational ceremony of the interns’ publications. Moreover, during my bachelor's years, I learned Spanish at an intermediate level and revised my English speaking and writing skills.

After graduating and receiving the bachelor’s degree, I worked for almost half a year in a European and national programs consulting services office, where I had the chance to embody more in organizing and carrying out European programs, national programs, and seminars. Then, I got accepted into a Master’s of social research and data analysis in Sweden. I started learning programming and studying how to analyze social and political issues based on methods and statistics. That choice makes me really happy and motivates me to develop more professionally.

Through the entire previous path, reading books both academically and for relaxation and also writing down thoughts and plans helped me achieve personal goals and develop knowledge and skills. I believe in the power of gaining spherical knowledge and in the power of words. For the future, I aspire to get more involved with the professional activities I enjoy to engage in, always with the purpose of having a positive social impact.
