Birds sing on its sides while the trees and flowers appear to be dancing in joy. I am attracted to the Thames River with its calm water and its mesmerizing beauty; I observe it as the seasons change as if observing a woman changing her dress. I yearn to see the river with the same enthusiasm that a young child displays for life. Its beauty overwhelms my senses and its fresh air nourishes my soul. It is the world that I can flee to; far away from the noisy city. A place where I find solace, where I can lose myself admiring its beauty from every angle. Every time I am there, I feel the river boasting its beauty and I am enchanted at its evolving magnificence. A magical place that has become a part of me; so intertwined we have become; like lovers! I want to run to it every night and feel its embrace; it has become a part of me and breathes new life into me every day!

Chiswick is a district of West London in England. It was first recorded c.1000 as Ceswican; the name "Chiswick" is of Old English origin meaning "Cheese Farm" and originates from the riverside meadows and farms that are thought to have supported an annual cheese fair on Dukes Meadows up until the 18th century. The area was historically an ancient parish in the county of Middlesex, with an agrarian and fishing economy. Also having good communications with London from an early time, Chiswick became a popular country retreat, and as part of the suburban growth of London in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the population significantly expanded. It became the Municipal Borough of Brentford and Chiswick in 1932 and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. Chiswick contains Hogarth's House, the former residence of the 18th century English artist William Hogarth; Chiswick House, a neo-Palladian villa regarded as one of the finest in England; and Fuller's Brewery, London's largest and oldest brewery. It occupies a meander of the River Thames which is heavily used for competitive and recreational rowing, and Chiswick itself is home to several clubs. The finishing post for the Boat Race is just downstream of Chiswick Bridge.

Historic figures who lived in Chiswick include the poet Alexander Pope, the Italian writer and revolutionary Ugo Foscolo, the Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro, the actor Charles Holland, the artist Montague Dawson, regarded as one of the best 20th century painters of the sea. Moreover, the landscape artist Lewis Pinhorn Wood and the novelist E. M. Forster lived at Homefield Road, and rock musicians John Entwistle and Pete Townshend of the Who were both born in Chiswick during the Second World War.

In Chiswick also born the actress Dame Helen Mirren, the singer Kim Wilde, the illustrator Clifford Harper, the actor Hugh Grant, who grew up in Chiswick, living next to Arlington Park Mansions on Sutton Lane, the zoologist and broadcaster Aubrey Manning, the photographer Derek Ridgers, the comedian Mel Smith, the athlete and politician Sebastian Coe, the marine geologist Frederick Vin. Moreover, have lived in Chiswick the singer Bruce Dickinson of the band Iron Maiden, the TV presenter Kate Humble, the actress Elizabeth McGovern, and her husband the film director Simon Curtis; for all of these creators, Chiswick was their first inspiration.

There are a lot of different flowers and plants in Chiswick, between them the white Camellia, that was Coco Chanel’s favorite flowers; also Chiswick House held a festival for Camellia flowers every year.
