As is tradition, Bitfactory Gallery starts the new year with No show, a Group Invitational exhibition, running Jan 17 – Feb 22, 2025, at 851 Santa Fe Drive. In its 9th year, No show aims for a fresh take each January, with this iteration showcasing only artists who work out of Bitfactory Studios, housed in the same building as the gallery. The group includes current tenants and those from last year including, Kristina Davies, Dan Drossman, D. Eisenberg, Greg Forber, Stéphane Krumenacker, Robert Phillips, Raven Rohrig, Christopher Spinney and W. Max Thomason. The public is invited to visit with the artists during an Opening Reception on Friday, Jan 17, 6-9 p.m., and to view the show First Friday, February 7, 6-9 p.m. or during regular gallery hours Tues -Sun, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
In addition to the visible galleries at Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, there are equal number of artists working diligently on their creative practices, often behind closed doors. While some have work that is exhibited in Bitfactory or other places on Santa Fe Drive, they don’t all actively showcase their work in the area. Gallerist Bill Thomason wanted to further the recognition of the artists and artwork that make up the district.
The resident artists of Bitfactory Studios specialize in array of disciplines consisting of acrylic painting, clothing design, ink drawing, jewelry design, mixed media and oil painting. They also embrace a variety of styles and aesthetics encompassing abstract expressionism, figurative art, realism, political art, pop art, surrealism, symbolism and textile.
