The police services across the Kingdom work very hard to fulfill their noble missions of securing and maintaining peace and stability, by demonstrating a high level of vigilance, physical presence, and commitment.
The police spared their means to be able to impose scrupulous respect for the laws and regulatory measures in force. In order to avoid any exceptional circumstance marked by the persistence of the spread of Covid-19, they are working with full dedication, abnegation, and self-denial in order to continue to preserve the achievements made by Morocco in the fight against Coronavirus and to ensure prevention and safety of the citizens and their properties.
The police services are committed on a daily basis to make so many sacrifices with a high sense of responsibility and civility, in the service of the well-being of the citizen and the preservation of the sense of security, of the peace and stability of the Kingdom, under the clairvoyant leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Police services follow an integrated security strategy
For more efficiency and speed in any intervention, the police services, within the framework of the implementation of the directives and orientations of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has developed an integrated security strategy. That is based on proximity and proactivity, with a view to better supervising the entire territory of the city, via a reinforced and effective police presence, particularly in sensitive areas and strategic sites, without, however, omitting the field security operations carried out in different districts of the city.
Covid-19 and police stay up nights
The Moroccan police have installed many judicial roadblocks and checkpoints in different corners of the cities, with reinforcement of those already existing at the level of the entrances, in addition to the mobilization of different brigades to ensure the preservation of the security of the people and goods. The compliance with preventive health measures aimed at stemming the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Vigilance and unwavering commitment, already at their peak among these "heroes of national duty" placed on the front line of the fight against Covid-19 since its outbreak in March 2020, and having to move up a gear in this exceptional circumstance. An "unparalleled" sacrifice made by these men defying the harsh winter weather conditions and running the risk of being struck by the virus, do not hesitate to call on their ingenuity and dexterity to face all risks and dangers.
The police presence is clearly visible, and vigilance is a natural reflex among all the police officers, mobilized at the roadblocks. Judicial checkpoints, mobile and static ones, with an incredible predisposition to face all eventualities and to intervene in order to preserve security and public order and remind recalcitrant people of the obligation to observe the laws in force.
Police work to make citizens respect health emergency measures
Each element of the police takes care to apply to the letter the instructions received and to carry out its tasks, under the direct supervision of the Prefect of Police and the control staff of a group of senior DGSN officers mobilized for the occasion. The sole purpose of maintaining such a "fragile" equation is between the obligation to ensure compliance with the laws in force, to fight against any overrun, and to preserve the rights and freedoms of citizens.
A colossal effort illustrated in practice by such noble missions and so marked by civility, patriotism, and even humanism in the service of the security and stability of the Kingdom in a currently fractured world. Their missions arouse strong admiration, great respect, and deep recognition of citizens.
The police strategy goes with the action plan based on the guidelines of the national police directorate on the effective involvement and commitment on the ground in the security operations of the various components of the police (public security, judicial police, traffic police, etc.). The aim is to preserve security and to ensure the strict implementation of appropriate measures, whether in terms of crime prevention and, where appropriate, its repression in accordance with the law in force.
Judicial police are reinforced at the public places to preserve security
Some Moroccan cities are flagship tourist destinations and experience a remarkable influx of visitors from several cities of the Kingdom, and require scrupulously ensuring compliance with security measures. The police need to do their best to fight against the spread of Coronavirus, decreeing the closure of shops, cafes, and restaurants at the timing that is on the Coronavirus measures.
The judicial police as an integral part of the police work tirelessly via its various components (anti-crime brigade, cynotechnical brigade, anti-gang brigade, specialized brigades, etc.) to complete the missions on the offices. Even though they are physically present and "reinforced" in public places, in order to concretize this security strategy, based on efficiency, speed, and pragmatism, in order to guarantee the prevention of crime and to fight against all forms of delinquency.
Police DGST works closely with BCIJ to fight against terrorism
The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) works in close cooperation and coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) in order to dismantle the extremist cell especially those that pledge allegiance to the terrorist organization "Daesh".
The dismantling of terrorist cells and the failure of the extremist projects are part of the continuous effort of the DGST to fight against terrorist organizations and neutralize the dangers and threats that threaten the security of the Kingdom and the security of citizens.
The full readiness of the Moroccan security services to face these dangers and threats in order to preserve the safety of the homeland and the security of citizens is in front of the attempts of certain extremist organizations to carry out destructive operations capable of seriously undermining public order.
