Born in 1948 in Moscow, Plotek emigrated from Warsaw, Poland, to Canada in 1960. Since 1976, Plotek’s work has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions including at the National Gallery of Canada, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Montréal, and the Musée d'art Contemporain, Montréal.
