The exhibition ‘Time Slip’ features work from the past 55 years by Marten Hendriks.
Marten Hendriks graduated in painting from the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Arnhem in 1963. Using a wide range of materials and techniques, he has produced a lively body of work that can never be completed.
Every image he makes is a commentary upon or a resumption, explanation or questioning of an earlier work. Despite its enormous variety, his oeuvre also has great cohesion.
The exhibition coincides with the publication of the monograph ‘Marten Hendriks – Leven en Werk’ by Alex de Vries, published by Uitgeverij De Zwaluw with support from the Mondriaan Fund, the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and the Jaap Harten Fonds.
