Tansey Contemporary presents a special exhibition of luxury glass and light works by Seattle-based artist Julie Conway. Conway, founding owner of Illuminata Art Glass Design LLC, creates bespoke, custom lighting and sculptural art glass installations for architects, designers, and clients the world over.

Her spontaneous and elegant designs amplify molten glass and its properties to refract and reflect light. The Illuminata collection is an international juxtaposition of blown glass forms and industrial elements surrounding patterns of light and shadow unique to Conway's artistic expression, merging art with functional design to tranform space with light.

Julie’s years of apprenticeship with international glass masters forged her dedicated studio practice using traditional glass techniques infused with a modern design aesthetic. The talented team of ILLUMINATA brings years of expertise to each hand-crafted piece, to create this unique collection of exquisite lighting. All glassworks are signed by the artist & part of the original ILLUMINATA collection. Julie is also the founder of BioGlass.org, dedicated to the development of renewable and bio-sustainable fuel sources to produce glass, thereby helping to protect the environment and the future existence of glass arts.
