This Fall the William Havu Gallery presents Retro-Spectacle, a 25 year retrospective of prints and paintings by Emilio Lobato. Emilio Lobato’s representation with the gallery goes back to the mid 1990’s when it was 1/1 A Gallery on Wazee Street, but his first show with the gallery was the inaugural exhibition at the then, brand new William Havu Gallery in the fall of 1998.

Over the past twenty years, William Havu Gallery has presented over ten solos for Lobato, and included his work in numerous two-person and group exhibits. In 2011 The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center presented Lobato’s work in a solo show titled, Mi Linda Soledad.

Not only is Emilio Lobato an important piece to the history of this gallery, but he’s made his mark on Colorado’s art landscape as well.
