Join us Thursday, October 4t h for Jennifer Maria Harris’ Spotlight Exhibition Opening Reception at Art Attack SF during the Castro Art Walk from 6-9pm. The exhibition features multimedia works from Jennifer’s latest series “Fathom” and “Commence,” that incorporate wooden silhouettes of people in abstract environments to examine our perceived notions of personal and cultural identity.
Jennifer Maria Harris studied on scholarship at Loughborough College of Art and Design in England and received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating magna cum laude. She has been working as a professional artist ever since, with exhibitions at art spaces including the Luggage Store, Pro Arts, Root Division, the Red Poppy Art House, the Richmond Art Center, the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, and the Oakland Museum of California’s CirCA Now series, as well as Field Projects Gallery in New York and Woman Made Gallery in Chicago.
Her paintings and prints are carried by the SFMOMA Artists Gallery and are in private collections across the United States and in Europe. Her public art projects and interactive murals have involved hundreds of participants from around the world in more than 15 languages.
