Elisa Contemporary Art, Peter Roland Home and The Vanderblue Team are pleased to be collaborating to create a vibrant International art exhibit in a newly restored 1900 farm house on Greenfield Hill. The exhibit, entitled “Her Window to the World: East and West Coast Artists” features 10 female artists ranging from emerging through late-career from Connecticut, Vermont, Montreal, California and Hawaii. It is a creative celebration that spans generations.
This Pop-Up art exhibit will open on June 15 at 2263 Hillside Road in Fairfield CT. It will run though July 30. The exhibit highlights landscapes, waterscapes and cityscapes inspired by the surrounding areas of our featured artists. It will also include abstracted and reimagined dimensional artworks.
Featured artists include: Carol Bennett (HI), Nina Bentley (CT), Kimber Berry (CA), Stephanie Cate (CA), Marie Danielle Leblanc (CAN), Cynthia MacCollum (CT), Nancy McTague-Stock (CT), Allyson Monson (CT), Dale Najarian (CT), Rose Umerlik (VT).
The exhibit honors the newly restored home by Peter Cartinelli Roland which sits on 2 acres adjacent to the Connecticut Audubon Society. Roland is a third generation Connecticut Builder, Restorer and Designer of older homes. According to Roland, “I embrace each home’s unique character while taking it on a journey to meet it’s full potential as a turnkey home that fits the client’s lifestyle.” Lisa Cooper, owner of Elisa Contemporary Art, knows first-hand the skill and beauty of Roland’s homes. According to Cooper, “The moment we walked into one of Roland’s restored homes in Fairfield in 2015, it was love at first sight. It brought together our lifestyle needs, while preserving the beauty of the older elements. Today this home, serves as our CT Art Salon — artistic integrity is celebrated in so many ways.”
As small business owners focused on meeting and exceeding client expectations for a home environment, this collaboration was meant to be. All three businesses are focused on creating a home and space that is unique, personal and an oasis for daily life. From the restoration and craftsmanship of the 1900 farm house to the creative vision of the 10 female artists, this Pop-Up art exhibit and collaboration delivers an exciting journey for all the senses.
