The new 2025 Elisa Contemporary Art exhibit is Natural beauty, a Group Show featuring limited edition photography by Tim Nighswander, Rebecca Swanson and Nancy C. Woodward. It focuses on Trees and Flowers, and the beauty created by Mother Nature. It takes place at the Elisa Contemporary Art Gallery in Riverdale NY. It will open on Wednesday, January 15. It will run until March 26, 2025.
The show includes the Prismatica series by Riverdale NY Artist, Rebecca Swanson which focuses on the center of the flowers in a vibrant and unique way. She “paints” with her camera, blending the abstract forms of nature with subtle colors to build intimate portraits of perfect, individual blooms. The series by Connecticut photographer, Tim Nighswander captures the beauty and grace of aging and imperfect flowers. According to Nighswander "My goal as a photographer is to remain open to seeing beyond the obvious...to be aware of my surroundings: to seek out the unique, the accidental juxtapositions, small gestures, everyday abstractions and fleeting moments that would otherwise be ignored and lost forever". Connecticut Photographer, Nancy C. Woodward focuses on the uplifting energy of Trees. According to Woodward, “I photograph all things magical that I come upon in the natural world. I catch a glimpse of a story hidden in the architecture of a tree and begin working my camera. Bringing my images into the digital darkroom provides the tools to coax out even the faintest of shadows and ethereal landscapes. I experiment with different color palettes and papers to bring new realms into view that my mind’s eye joyfully recognizes“.
The exhibit includes limited edition photographs printed and framed in a number of different mediums including Dye Sublimation on Aluminum, Plexi facemount framing and printed on Archival Paper. All works are signed and numbered.
