The Bernier/Eliades Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition entitled “Mineral-Vegetal” curated by Paolo Colombo.
Paolo Colombo is currently the Art Advisor at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art and a regular contributor to the Pinacoteca Gianni e Marella Agnelli in Torino. From 2001 to 2007 he was Chief Curator at the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo in Rome, and from 1989 to 2000 the Director of the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva.
The Bernier/Eliades Gallery has been at the forefront of contemporary art in Greece since its founding in 1977. Jean Bernier and Marina Eliades have introduced a number of artistic movements such as Art Povera, Minimalism, Land Art and Conceptual Art to the Greek public, focusing also on young American and European artists. In April 2016 they opened a new space in Brussels.
The Bernier/Eliades Gallery is happy and honored to participate to Brafa, one of the leading European Art and Antiques Fair, from January 21 to 29, 2017.
On Sunday January 15, the Bernier/Eliades Gallery will open the “Mineral” part of the exhibition on the gallery’s premises, located in the courtyard of rue du Châtelain 46 in Brussels.
The gallery will present the “Vegetal” part of the exhibition on the stand 108c at Brafa. The two legs of the exhibition will be directly linked. Vegetal-Mineral will feature a selection of works by Belgian and international artists inspired by the beauty and the generosity of nature’s offerings: flowers, stones, trees, pigments, ceramics and iron.
