A strong exhibition of beautiful painting, portraits and landscapes, by award winning artists.
Sophie Ploeg, was Travel Award winner in the 2013 BP Portrait Award exhibition, Patricia Cain, showing with us for the first time, winner of the Aspect Prize in 2010, and Steven Lindsay, Aspect Prize runner up, also in 2010.
Another debutant is Michael Corsar, a well known figure in Glasgow, and a painter much respected and collected by his artist peers, as is Alexandra Gardner, for over 20 years one of the main lecturers in painting at Glasgow School of Art.
Anna King won the top prize of £20,000 in the annual Jolomo Award in 2007. This the largest prize award in Scotland, and is awarded to Scottish Landscape Artists, while Molly Garnier won The Lynn Painter-Stainers Young Artist Award one the biggest open painting competitions, in London the previous year.
Jackie Anderson won the Alastair Salvesen Art Scholarship,allowing her to travel and paint in Trinidad and Tobago. She has work in collections including The Fleming Collection, The Royal Bank of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Academy.
A very high powered and painterly exhibition.
