The School of Visual and Applied Arts has been operating since the academic year 1984-85 and is the oldest School in the Faculty of Fine Arts, AUTh. The education provided by the School of Visual and Applied Arts is primarily in the form of studio art studies, supplemented by corresponding scientific, theoretical and pedagogical courses for the formation of artists with a comprehensive education and specialized artistic skills.
Twenty visual artists make up the artistic faculty of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki today. Their artistic work and the transformation of the basic ingredients of art into teaching materials constitute the dipole of each one’s personality and all together form the profile of the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki. What School of Fine Arts are we? What School of Fine Arts do we want?
