Erarta Galleries Hong Kong is pleased to present our first inaugural exhibition Game Changers in celebration of the grand opening of Erarta Galleries Hong Kong – the fifth Erarta gallery worldwide and the first in Asia.
Game Changers, the first exhibition of Erarta Galleries Hong Kong features over 30 exclusive works showcasing Erarta’s diversity at its best. This show includes an exclusive selection of contemporary Russian Art from Erarta’s portfolio of over 170 artists from 30 distinctive regions of Russia. Artists featured in the show include some of the most acclaimed contemporary Russian artists in major private and public collections worldwide. Artists include Pavel Brat, currently exhibiting at Erarta Galleries London, digital master and auction favourite Konstantin Khudyakov, Marina Fedorova and star of St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport angels Dmitry Shorin.
A Game Changer significantly changes the way something is experienced, contemplated or created.
Pavel Brat, who is in the collection of the State Russian Museum and Moscow Museum among others, is known for creating unique collages, achieving an illusion of deconstructed depth through clever manipulation of imagery from the worlds of fashion, design and advertising. Brat was nominated for the Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Award 2013 in the category ‘Best Work of Visual Art’ and is considered amongst the top young artists in Russia.
Known for capturing the synthesis between art and fashion in her paintings, Marina Fedorova has established herself nationally and internationally, particularly in Paris where she has a permanent studio. Konstantin Khudyakov is one of the first digital media artists in Russia and is a highly regarded artist worldwide by collectors.
Game Changers will also display a piece from Dmitry Shorin’s most recent life size sculptural series I believe in Angels. Dmitry Shorin’s extraordinary pieces can be seen as guardian angels of the modern age, given jet engine wings to keep up with modern living. These effervescent sculptures have been showcased in London, Zürich, New York, Venice, and Paris. Most recently, St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport has acquired four of these angels.
Complimenting these artists we are excited to share some emerging stars including Aleksey Gromov, whose poetic paintings and wistful sculptures have already been shown in many European galleries, as well as Katya Krasnaya`s elegantly executed graffiti masterpieces that are constantly in demand.
Erarta sees art as an integral part of life and believes that everyone is an artist, whether an artist themselves, a collector or simply a viewer. From Erarta’s beginnings as a stage for contemporary Russian art for a Russian audience, Erarta is now able to share the unique qualities of contemporary Russian art to a worldwide audience. We hope you will join us in celebrating the opening of Erarta Museum and Galleries of Contemporary Art’s newest gallery, Erarta Galleries Hong Kong.
