Chiostro del Bramante is an extraordinary example of Renaissance architecture. It is the work of Donato Bramante (1444-1515) who, having moved from Milan to Rome after the fall of Ludovico il Moro, will become here the first architect of Pope Julius II and will be a great rival of Michelangelo. It is part of the complex that also includes the adjacent Church of Santa Maria della Pace where the famous Sibille of Raphael are located.
