Musée Marmottan-Claude Monet

Located in the hamlet of Passy, the Château de la Muette was dismembered and sold off in lots by the revolutionary government in 1790. Part of its former grounds were now occupied by the Ranelagh, a pleasure garden named after the Irish lord who had set this fashion in London.
