Alejandro Alamo is a master’s student in international business at Universidad Europea Madrid. Currently living in Alcalá de Henares, he brings over 15 years of experience in government affairs and business development, offering extensive knowledge and practical expertise with the goal of contributing to the Spanish workforce upon graduation. Alejandro’s academic path reflects his deep commitment to learning and growth. He holds a BA in Political Science from Florida International University, where he cultivated an early interest in governance, policy, and international relations. He furthered his academic journey with a master’s in international sports management from European Sports Business School in Valencia, Spain, where he gained valuable insights into the intersection of sports, business, and global markets. Now at Universidad Europea Madrid, Alejandro is expanding his knowledge through coursework in international marketing, strategies for internationalization, AI applications in global markets, international economics, international logistics, and negotiation techniques.

Alejandro’s professional career in the United States has been defined by leadership and versatility. He has managed political campaigns for city council, mayoral candidates, and state legislative candidates across Florida, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex demographic landscapes. Notably, during his time at Ygrene, Alejandro helped the company during a financial crisis by securing approval from an independent oversight board for a rate increase after months of negotiations, despite initial opposition. He also successfully defeated legislation in key markets that would have shut down the company’s program, highlighting his strategic advocacy skills.

His roles throughout his professional career have included serving as Chief of Staff in the Florida House of Representatives, where he advised on legislative and budget priorities, and as communications director for a social welfare non-profit, where he honed his skills in advocacy and public engagement. Additionally, Alejandro has worked as a government relations consultant at a mid-sized law firm, helping clients secure public funding and navigate regulatory challenges, and as director of government affairs for a California-based finance company, where he successfully facilitated market expansions and legislative collaborations. Alejandro’s passion for community service is evident in his involvement at Universidad Europea, where he serves on the Council of Delegates as a representative of postgraduate students. Elected as the delegate for his master’s program, he has demonstrated strong leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

While living in Valencia, Alejandro volunteers at the Faulcombridge Cup, serving as a liaison for international athletes and ensuring smooth operations during the tournament. In Miami, his participation in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami program allowed him to enhance his collaborative abilities and mentorship skills.

Currently, Alejandro is developing a thesis focused on the internationalization of Tribeless, an organization dedicated to fostering empathy through innovative products. His project seeks to introduce Tribeless to the European market, a task that aligns with his belief in human-centered business practices, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of empathy in global business environments. Alejandro’s aspirations extend to applying his rich professional experience to international business sectors such as consulting, education, sports, and public relations. His approach is shaped by his extensive background in government affairs, his experience as a father applying RIE (Resources of Infant Educarers) principles that emphasize respect and empathy, and his unwavering curiosity about different cultures and perspectives.

This blend of professional rigor and personal philosophy allows Alejandro to offer thoughtful, data-driven solutions while maintaining a deep understanding of human connections. Originally from Miami, Florida, Alejandro’s relocation to Spain in 2023 marked a transformative period in his life, both professionally and personally. His move reflects his eagerness to explore global cultures, engage with diverse industries, and build meaningful connections. Alejandro’s enthusiasm for cultural exchange, his appreciation for art and beauty, and his strong work ethic drive his ambition to make a lasting impact in the field of international business.
