I am a German economist with a deep passion for international development and global politics. My multidisciplinary background, combining international business, economics, international relations, and development studies, equips me with the tools to analyze and address complex global challenges from diverse and holistic perspectives. Professionally, I have held research roles at a leading think tank focused on decarbonizing transport, as well as positions at the German development agency. These roles allowed me to refine my ability to navigate intricate political and economic landscapes while working on projects that bridged global policy and practical implementation.

My career has afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with partners across every continent and gain field experience in Europe, West Africa, and Latin America. Whether analyzing transport trends in emerging markets, supporting educational reforms in Sierra Leone, or crafting communications strategies for international development projects, my work has been characterized by a commitment to meaningful and sustainable impact.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to understand the world, I actively seek opportunities to learn from others. I engage in meaningful exchanges with people from diverse backgrounds, immerse myself in a variety of academic and cultural sources, and frequently attend events on social, political, and economic issues. My experiences working abroad, conducting research trips, and extensive travels have provided me with firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by people around the world. These experiences have deepened my understanding of global issues and strengthened my resolve to explore innovative solutions that benefit as many people as possible.

I am particularly concerned about the current global trend toward protectionism, the erosion of multilateral cooperation, and the weakening of long-standing international norms. As a staunch advocate of the multilateral system, I believe that collective problem-solving and mutual understanding are essential for addressing today’s global challenges, such as hunger and climate change, effectively.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am deeply committed to the power of open and reliable information exchange. With fake news and misinformation on the rise, and many media outlets shifting to costly subscription models, I strive to share balanced, well-researched insights on free platforms. Ensuring access to accurate information beyond social media algorithms is crucial for all of us to secure more balanced access to information.

Outside work, I enjoy backpacking, exploring foreign cultures, and dedicating time to football—both as a passionate fan and an active participant in sports activities and competitions.
