Dominic Eckersley was born in the United Kingdom. He studied the harpsichord both in London and New York City where he worked as a harpsichordist, organist and choral conductor.

His love for culture, travelling, writing, music making and photography have brought him to live on four continents. He currently lives in central Berlin where he continues to work as a harpsichordist and baroque music coach and where he directs an early music ensemble.

In addition to performing and teaching, Dominic Eckersley also researches, writes and publishes articles on musicological aspects of the Baroque.

Dominic is the artistic director of one of Europe’s most exciting Early Music ensembles, on the cutting edge of the modern Early Music generation - EGG
