Welcome to Meer and my profile! I’m Seren Emily, a bilingual and dual national from the United Kingdom and Turkey. I was brought up on the southwest coast of Turkey, and one of the hearts of tourism where might have infused my enthusiasm towards traveling and various cultures. I have traveled to around 15 countries and experienced the most famous landmarks or cities all over Europe, Asia, and Africa. I consider myself lucky and grateful for the opportunities I have.

The journey of my architecture education started at Final International University in Kyrenia, Cyprus, and continued for two years in English, which gave me enough foundation to conceptualize and design ergonomically, then transferred to Bursa Uludag University in Turkey, which was in Turkish, where I had a wider understanding of both languages aligning and had more technical depth. Through my studies, I have completed my internships successfully in Turkey and Cyprus, mostly consisting of villa projects and university complex projects.

I’m holding a bachelor's degree in architecture from Bursa Uludag University, currently researching towards gaining my RIBA qualifications in the United Kingdom and in search to gain experience in the architecture and construction industry in England while working in an insurance company since I weave together my passions for architecture, design, and travel to offer you a unique perspective on how each element shapes our daily lives and broadens our horizons. With a background in architecture, I have spent over five years learning to design spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. My architectural studies have taught me the subtle art of balancing form and function, infused with local and global cultural aesthetics.

Travelling is my second passion, and this passion runs through our blood through my family and relatives. It complements my architectural interests by allowing me to explore and document the diverse ways people create and inhabit spaces around the world. From the cobblestone streets of Europe to the huts of Africa, each destination offers new insights and inspiration that I bring back to my work and want to share with my readers.
