Giulia D'Ettorre is an architect. She completed her studies at the University of Genoa (Italy), and since has been working for several architectural practices in Genoa, Milan and Edimburgh where she has always been involved in large scale interventions both in Italy as well as in some developing countries. Her areas of expertise range from residential complexes to mixed-use facilities.
In 2011-2012 she took a Master's Degree in “Development and Emergency Practice” at Oxford Brookes University and focused her dissertation research on the urban planning roles in post-conflict reconstruction within the South Sudanese context. Moving from her university research, she is now extending her field of interests from conflict prone areas to all urban territories aiming to understand what makes a city resilient.
