Thousands of Boats Parade Into Miami Beach for the 2012 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail.

Get a behind-the-scenes preview as thousands of boats begin filling 2.5 million square feet of exhibition space at the Miami Beach Convention Center and drop anchor at Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center and Miamarina at Bayside in preparation for the 2012 Progressive Insurance® Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail taking place next week.

Some boats will arrive fully shrink-wrapped; larger boats will be hoisted into place by marine lifts; and yachts will be reassembled on the show floor. See the ‘Power Queen’ of the show, the Marlow Explorer 72E, along with other luxury cruisers, drop anchor at Sea Isle, and don’t miss the ‘Sail Queen’, a 95-foot Maccarini Navegantes, the show’s largest vessel, navigate her way into Miamarina – photo opportunities abound!

This annual tradition not only marks a chance for buyers and dreamers around the world to gear up for fun on the water, it also represents big business for the recreational boating industry and the city of Miami.
