Villazan is delighted to present Jason Ho next exhibition in our gallery, located in Madrid, showcasing his symmetrical and elegant landscapes, where the viewer is invited to explore the subtle boundaries between the physical and the imaginary, architectural spaces and emotional dimensions.
Through his works, Ho transforms the concept of "home" into a visual experience that transcends physical borders, leading the viewer on a journey of reflection about the connection between space, time, and perception
He uses the idea of home as a metaphor for the boundaries we inhabit spaces that are familiar to us and those we imagine. Through abstract architectural forms, including elements such as stairs, corridors, and rooms, the exhibition creates a visual dialogue between the known and the unknown, the tangible and the intangible. Each piece invites viewers to reflect on the thresholds we cross in our own lives, on the invisible boundaries between physical space and the emotions these spaces evoke.
The central message of the exhibition is clear: to connect, attract, and inspire. Ho establishes a conversation between the artwork and the viewer, offering a main idea that is transformed by each person’s personal perspective. This interaction gives the exhibition a unique dimension, where every visit can result in a different experience, depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
Jason Ho, a British artist of Chinese descent, began his career as an architect before transitioning to art. His artistic journey is a harmonious blend of his esteemed career as a qualified architect and his passionate pursuit as an artist. His work transcends the boundaries of conventional art forms, delving into the depths of thresholds, dimensions, and architectural forms, Ho’s art explores the intricate interplay of duality of time, space, physical existence and alternative reality.
Jason Ho exhibition Line between homes runs from February 6th through March 5th, 2025 at Villazan Madrid.
