From Thursday, December 12th through Sunday, December 29th, Van Der Plas presents an All Art+ Group Exhibition titled: The emotive power of color.
The essence of Turner’s innovative style is the emotive power of color. He released color from any defining outlines to express both the forces of nature and the painter’s emotional response to them.
(Fred Kleiner, “Gardner’s art through the ages”)
Late 18th, early 19th century painter William Turner dazzled the world with his evocative use of color. As a forerunner of impressionism, Turner found whole new ways of presenting color and events that brought out the truth and true vibrancy of the world. A world of lights and darks, of warms and cools that wrought many times through images blurred and blended to depict, finally, upon viewing the interiors of feelings of the viewer, of the painter, and issue forth the emotional landscapes of what it means to be human.
All art+ The emotive power of color is a group exhibition showcasing diverse mediums, techniques and styles of all stripes. The artwork on show serves to illustrate feelings and understandings beyond the image and symbol, and would like artists of all walks of expression to connect with their passions and sentiments, their deepest perceptions and discernments, and to explore these feelings and then bring them forth through the special relationship with their work and the color of their work for others to share, appreciate, and be enlightened by.
