Pleiades Gallery, a well-established cooperative gallery in Chelsea, is presenting its annual winter exhibition, featuring the work of eighteen of the Gallery’s artists. Color my world opened on November 26 at Pleiades Gallery, 547 West 27th Street, Suite 304.
Featuring 35 original artworks by gallery members, Color my world demonstrates the wide range of artistic visions of the exhibiting painters and photographers. Works include abstract and figurative acrylic and oil paintings on burlap, wood and canvas; mixed media works; cyanotypes; photography on metal; and graphite drawings on paper and ballpoint pen works on hand dyed silk and cotton.
Spanning fifty years, Pleiades Gallery is one of the oldest and most well-established galleries in New York City. Founded in Soho in 1974 by a group of like-minded artists, the gallery is located among the most prestigious galleries in Manhattan. Pleiades Gallery has developed into a Chelsea institution with high standards that are continuously refreshed by new artists representing a diversity of styles, ages and viewpoints and that are creating work across a broad range of mediums.
