I’ve come to accept my brother’s death, but I refuse to let his art die with him. It took me 15 years to reach that conclusion, and since then, I’ve been dedicated to keeping Fernando’s art alive. What began as a deeply personal attempt to stay close to my brother quickly turned into a full-time mission, made possible by the incredible support of people like Nate Berkus and Wendy Goodman.
As we mark 20 years since the tragic tsunami, it feels only right to gather these extraordinary people to reflect on Fernando’s legacy and showcase how I’ve continued to interpret and evolve his pioneering vision of Woven Photography.
Fernando and I were always collaborators-whether we were getting into trouble as kids, traveling and discovering new cultures, or later in life, working together professionally on photoshoots. This show is another collaboration between brothers, one in Heaven and one on Earth. The past five years have been a journey of reflection. Inspired by Fernando, I’ve learned that beauty can rise from tragedy and that we are all Woven Together through love and art.
