Twenty First is pleased to present the Group show on view this Summer 2024. The show features a series of new works, like Geta Mocanu’s large-scale Forest tapestry above. Geta explores her artistic expression through the creation of tapestries. Her creations revolve around two central themes: tears and forests. These themes not only serve as aesthetic motifs, but also serve as deep inspiration that fuel her creative process. Every piece is crafted with texture, color, and form meticulously explored and incorporated.
The walnut six door sideboard by Valentin Loellmann is also featured in the group show. Valentin approaches design with meticulous consideration. His creations stem from a comprehensive grasp of how sensory experiences shape emotions and the subconscious. Each element, from impeccably crafted edges to the seamless fusion of wood and metal, to the nuanced hues and textures of his surfaces, contributes to the captivating allure of Loellmann’s pieces.
Emmée Parizot’s Cariatides console is a testament to her expertise in bronze sculpture. Bronze serves as Emmée’s preferred medium, prized for its strength and timelessness. Erika Cross’s concept behind the Step table was driven by the desire to transform ordinary objects and familiar shapes into delightful surprises. Erika deliberately pushes boundaries to cultivate innovative methods and objects.
