How to create a self-care routine aligned with the Moon? Any routine that aligns with nature provides deeper healing, a closer connection with your inner and spiritual 'self,' as well as a more detailed understanding of yourself. If you are or identify as a woman, I especially recommend that you incorporate these elements into your daily life.

I recommend that you follow the energy of the Moon every month. Don't worry; with this article and the next ones I will publish, you will discover everything about the four different phases. I will post a post for each phase of this month. Don't forget to take notes!

From my research, I have found that working with the energy of the Moon is very powerful and healing because it is a reminder to touch on all aspects of self-care and manifestation. Many of us get stuck in the 24-hour cycles and schedules that have been designed for men, not allowing us to discover our true potential.

Recommended activities to connect with your inner 'self:' After reading and researching for a couple of years, I noticed that using oracle cards to connect with something greater than ourselves and receive guidance brings us deep healing, along with peace of mind, inspiration, and courage. I recommend drawing a card each morning before going to work or doing a full reading (usually 5 cards) each month at a specific Moon phase. I recommend the full Moon. This is due to the connection to the universe that it brings. You do not need to learn tarot for this. Oracle cards have direct meanings that you can simply read. You have many different versions! Choose the deck that connects with you the most!

It depends on your religion and how you approach spirituality, of course. For example, if you are Muslim, my best friend and I recommend you pray or read about health in Islam for women or read about how women have been part of Muslim culture since the times of the Prophet. This is my friend’s way to connect with history, the world, and her experience as a woman.

Other practices can be pendulums, numerology, and astrology, among many other disciplines like botanics and astronomy, yoga, or aromatherapy.

Use crystals in your daily life. Crystals are actually powerful tools for healing and connecting, which is especially helpful for those of us with anxiety and highly sensitive nervous systems. Mainly, crystals are perfect for connecting with the Earth or the Moon, opening chakras, and obtaining healing energy.

Some of our favourite crystals are: rose quartz (ideal for working on self-love and calming stress); lepidolite (comforts and helps guide you through constant or sudden changes in your life); moonstone (relieves menstrual pain, improves lactation problems, balances emotions); black obsidian (releansing, protection, and personal growth); black tourmaline (cleansing, protection, and transformation); and amethyst (provides clarity, ideal for when you do tarot or oracle).

What is my alignment with the Moon? Depending on your period, you can know where you are in your journey. Are you curious? I encourage you to discover it! There are four types of cycles: Red Moon Cycle, when you bleed on a Full Moon and ovulate on a New Moon; Purple Moon Cycle, when you bleed in the Waning Moon and ovulate in the Waxing Moon; White Moon Cycle, when you bleed on a New Moon and ovulate on a Full Moon; and Pink Moon Cycle, when you bleed on the Waxing Moon and ovulate on the Waning Moon.

Since your period can vary depending on what time you are going through in your life, I hope you liked this article! Next month, I will start explaining what it means if you are a red, purple, white, or pink cycle!
