In honor of Women’s History Month, we are delighted to present to you our latest exhibition, “Feminine Cadence.” This extraordinary showcase is a celebration of the remarkable talent and artistic vision of our female artists, whose works embody their synergy of material, color, scale, and more.
Curated by Gallerist and Artist Haleh Mashian, this exhibition serves as a contemporary survey, showcasing the latest creations of nine active female artists, spanning national and international domains. It offers a glimpse into various forms of artistic expression at this moment in history, unveiling a spectrum of distinctive styles from each artist.
Ranging from reinterpretations of modernism to figurative painting, to new explications of abstract expressionism, and beyond in the twenty-first century. The artists included in “Feminine Cadence” each approach their artistic practice in their unique way, their work serving a different intellectual, emotional, or spiritual function for each. Through exhibiting them together, we hope that we might be able to catch a glimpse of what the experience of being a woman today means for each of them and witness the myriad perspectives that resonate from each of their works.
Rather than seeking similarities, the focus lies on reveling in the inherent differences, shedding light on the various ways in which each artist interprets and manifests their unique vision through their chosen medium. By intentionally sidestepping the quest for a cohesive theme, “Feminine Cadence” invites audiences to explore the breadth and depth of individual artistic journeys. It is an opportunity to appreciate the nuanced and eloquent expressions of identity, creativity, and the various aspects of womanhood that these talented artists bring forth, contributing to a collective celebration of diversity within the realm of contemporary art.
