Fountain House Gallery – the premier venue in New York City representing artists living with mental illness –announced the upcoming exhibition Small Works: $100 & Under. The show is an annual Gallery event that has become a perennial favorite of art lovers, collectors, and holiday shoppers.
For this year’s iteration of Small Works, Fountain House Gallery artists have created hundreds of pieces of original art, sized 6 by 6 inches or smaller and priced at $100 or less. Artworks are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and collectors are encouraged to shop directly “off the wall.”
Gallery artists continue to embrace the annual challenge of creating in the scaled-down format, unleashing their talents on fresh mediums and ideas. The exhibit offers a unique and affordable opportunity to experience – and collect – an individual artist’s breadth of work.
Among the mediums represented in Small Works are acrylic, mixed media, fabric, digital photography, sculpture and jewelry.
This program is funded, in part, by generous support from the Renate, Hans and Maria Hofmann Trust, and the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund.
