The benefit auction features a vibrant collection of works on paper and panel by artist Fahren Feingold, who has become known for her ethereal feminine watercolor paintings that emphasize the female gaze through fluid brush strokes using her signature wet-on-wet technique.
The artist, who has been represented by the gallery since 2017, has been featured in a number of solo exhibitions, group shows and benefits presented by The Untitled Space, and is featured in numerous notable international collections.
Painting in ethereal colors, I interpret auras and energy fields between me and my models. The figures appear translucent as they swim on the page and gently nudge the viewer to interact. Exploring themes of how I exist in the world, interact with others, and how I can be at one with the surrounding universe has taken me a lot of time and growth. Through my own journey with mental health, I am constantly seeking out ways to expand and be more empathic. In doing so, I have created new circuits of understanding, patience, and compassion. Opening my eyes to the beauty and love that exists within me and around, my paintings act as a quiet dagger of truth, exposing the beauty of the feminine form from the female gaze, emphasizing the female body as a great thing to behold, free of judgement and objectification. My paintings of the female figure expands the footprint of women painted by women, celebrating sisterhood and empowering female themes.

Fahren Feingold imparts an ethereal quality to her unique works depicting the female form. Her watercolors featuring bold feminine nudes reference her own photographs as well as imagery from early 20th century French erotica, and vintage American magazines from the 70s and 80s. The Los Angeles native moved to New York at the age of seventeen to study at the Parsons school of design. After earning her BFA between Parsons and Glasgow School of Art, she worked as a fashion designer for top brands including Ralph Lauren, Nicole Miller, and J.Crew, among others. In 2016, her dreamy watercolors caught the eye of the legendary Nick Knight, who commissioned her to illustrate Paris fashion week for Show studio.
Her work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions including “Moving Kate”, curated by Nick Knight for Show studio in London and The Mass in Tokyo; “The Vulgar” at The Barbican in London, curated by Judith Clark and Adam Phillips; “Red hot wicked” at Studio C Gallery in Los Angeles; as well as a number of exhibitions at The Untitled Space, including her debut solo show in 2017.
