Anam Cara refers to the spiritual bonding of two souls. It describes a very specific and special relation, and a force that is beyond encounter. It is a purposeful, mystical interlude. “My art is definitely one of my ‘Anam Caras’ which is why this exhibition is so imperative in my journey.” This collection of 12 studies were all created as unexplained poetic narratives on canvas, depicting this bonding force and honoring the philosophy behind the ‘Anam Cara’ and its relations to mystical interludes.”
Holly Addi’s paintings are often about contact with the architectural structure of life’s imperfections and the harmony of this philosophy. “I seek beauty in the imperfect. My art study is based on life’s imperfections and how it relates to beauty and the magical phenomenon of how it all works together.”
