Wu-Tang: An American Saga “Limited Series” (Hulu) - September 4

This is a 10-episode series based on the true story of the formation of the Wu-Tang Clan co-created by RZA and Alex Tse.

I’m Real excited about this show. And I’m really glad that a series is being made instead of a movie. Because I don't think 2 hours would be enough to tell this story.

Everyone in the group but U God, was on board with this series which give me high hopes. Also, Inspectah Deck played by Joey Badass? Awesome! I really loved his work in Mr. Robot and I’m looking forward to seeing him on this.

Hulu better not mess this up because “the Wu-Tang clan ain’t nuthing to f*** with”.

The Deuce - Season 3 (HBO) - September 9

This third season will be the final one, as was always planned. I think that is the perfect length when the plan is to follow the same main characters all the way through. And I’m always glad when a storyteller gets the amount of time he needs to tell his story.

The first season of The Deuce was really good but the second one was spectacular. In my opinion, this show is approaching The Wire levels of quality.

If you’re not watching this show, do yourself a favor and start. Easily one of the best shows on TV right now.

Unbelievable “Limited Series” (Netflix) - September 13

Unbelievable follows “Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two female detectives who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth.”

This looks really interesting. A powerful story that needs to be told. The article that the show is based on is amazing. And a good reminder that fact, oftentimes, really is stranger than fiction. Reading the whole thing was a gut punch.

Also, what a great cast. Toni Colette and Merritt Weaver being detectives sound amazing and I loved Kaitlyn Dever in Booksmart and Justified. I can’t wait to see this series.

The Politician “Anthology Series” (Netflix) - September 27

The Politician is set to revolve around “the politician aspirations of Platt’s Payton Hobart, a wealthy Santa Barbarian, and every season will revolve around a different political race his character is involved in.”

This seems like so much fun. A Ryan Murphy shows that totally Looks like every Ryan Murphy show.

It may be insane and reminds me a little of the movie Election.

The cast is insane. I know Gwyneth Paltrow will turn a lot of people off because of her GOOP thing. But the show also has Jessica Lange in it. I’ll be forever in debt with Ryan Murphy for bringing her back to relevance. she is an enormous talent and I’m sure she will crush it.

Can’t wait. Don’t ever change, Ryan.

Godfather of Harlem - Season 1 (Epix) - September 29

Godfather of Harlem is inspired by facts and follows the life of crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), who in the early 60's returns to the place where he grew up after 10 years in prison.

With the streets ruled by the Italian mafia, Bumpy decides to charge against the Genovese family to regain power. During the battles he forms an alliance with Malcolm X, taking advantage of his political ascent and influence among famous people.

Godfather of Harlem feels like a weird combination of the underworld crime and civil rights movements during one of the most turbulent times in American history.

I’m very curious about it.

Mr. Robot - Season 4 (USA) - October 6

Mr. Robot is one of my favorite shows and I couldn’t be happier with its return. But unfortunately, this will be the show’s last season.

To be honest, I wasn’t prepared to say goodbye just yet. I could see the show going for at least one more season. But, I absolutely respect the hell out of this decision. I’m glad the choice to end it was from the creator Sam Esmail and not the USA network.

Esmail is such an inspirational writer and director. All of the characters, the writing, cinematography, music, just every aspect of production is so incredible. He totally deserved to finish the show on his own terms.

The whole end of the series thing is sad but, I feel like this season will be the best yet. By the trailer I have watched, it looks like some intense things are going down. I’m really curious how the end of Eliot story is going to be.

Sam Esmail, you’re a genius and I’m looking forward to whatever you will do next.

Modern Love “Anthology Series” (Amazon Prime) - October 18

Modern Love is a romantic comedy anthology series that will explore “love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self-love.”

Based on the buzz alone, this show is supposed to be fantastic. And even if it’s just some cliché romantic stories; I’m all about it. Mainly because of the cast.

Seriously though, that is some cast! This is the best lineup any of these anthology shows have gotten yet. I love Tina Fey and I would watch this for her alone.

Amazon is getting some insane quality programs.

Watchmen - Season 1 (HBO) - October 20

Watchmen is a superhero drama based on the DC Comics limited series of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The TV show was created and developed by Damon Lindelof.

I didn’t know what to expect of this but, the trailer looks so interesting and unexpected. I like that it didn’t give away much of anything.

Watchmen is one of my favorite works of literature ever. I did not enjoy the movie as much as I wanted to, but this show seems like an interesting take on it. The cinematography looks stunning, the costume designs are great, the cast is super talented. I think visually it hits a lot of the tone from the graphic novel.

Also, after the amazing The Leftovers, I fully trust Damon Lindelof in everything!

The Mandalorian - Season 1 (Disney Plus) - November 12

The Mandalorian is set in the Star Wars universe, the series will take place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows a lone Mandalorian gunfighter beyond the reaches of the New Republic. Jon Favreau serves as creator, head writer, and showrunner.

The trailer of this show looks absolutely incredible. The production design looks amazing. It has the perfect mix of grittiness and special effects. It feels like it will be as good as any Star Wars movie.

The talent behind and in front of the camera is something to be beholden. And some characters had me very intrigued. And apparently, Taika Waititi is directing an episode.

Sign me up! Because this looks like it could be better than Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum - Season 1 (Disney Plus) - November 12

This could be pretty much what any food network show is. Someone travels around the world doing stuff. But the twist here is, this one is hosted by Jeff Goldblum.

A show about Jeff Goldblum being Jeff Goldblum? I didn’t know I wanted this but now that I know, I need it now!

Disney seriously threw millions of dollars at Jeff Goldblum and told him “Go have fun on camera”.

Best show ever created!

Forget Marvel and Star Wars. This is Disney Plus’ flagship show.
