Year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai. The Long Museum (Pu Dong) will hold a special exhibition entitled "Building the Motherland: for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" from August 9th to October 13th, 2019.

This exhibition presents works created mainly after 1949, featuring those important construction projects which were of great value in that time. These works not only reflect the important theme of 'Building a new China' but also records history and people's positive actions in the process of building our great motherland.
