Tamar Hirschfeld’s tragi-comic video installation examines issues of post-colonialism and gender. Adopting a nomadic persona, Hirschfeld has been wandering, gazing at marginal areas and weakened populations. Through folktales, ancient myths and a fictitious love story between the artist and a human skeleton excavated near the Dead Sea, the exhibition reveals a complex, intricate reality dealing with history and memory, with refugees and immigrants.
