SPACE: /spās/: a boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and events occur and have relative position and direction.

Space brings together a multigenerational group of artists whose work explores the territorial limitations between objects and their environments, as well as the results of the relationships that people have with places around them.

It is interested in how a location, be it real or imagined, can have the ability to bring up feelings like melancholy and sentiment within a viewer. Or, what the marks left somewhere can say about those who previously existed there. This exhibition looks at how spaces are interacted with, the spaces we create, and how they affect us.

Space is curated by Fatema Khalil and Michael J. Ruple.
