After graduating in Textile Design and Marketing in 2001, Anna explored her love of painting through joining a local art society and taking part in evening art groups. After starting to exhibit in local exhibitions and winning several best in show awards she realised she didn't want to regret not taking her passion for art further and has been a full time artist ever since. Following winning the Artists & Illustrators Artist of the Year, in 2017, the opportunity arose to exhibit at Thackeray Gallery.
We are thrilled to announce, ‘One to Watch’ in 2019 (named by art magazine Artist & Illustrators) Anna Perlin’s first solo show here at Thackeray Gallery, Kensington.
Growing up in a small hamlet in the heart of rural Oxfordshire gave Anna a love of the countryside and British landscape, which inspires much of her work.
Having rolling fields, woodland and the changing colours and seasons on my doorstep is a huge inspiration for me to paint and create. The British landscape is endlessly beautiful and much of my work develops from something catching my eye when out walking.

“Window Through the Seasons” is a stunning selection of specialist mixed media artworks. Collage is prominent throughout Anna’s paintings, using fabric and paper collage to create wonderful strong, textural and colour effects as it soaks up and reflects light in a unique way.
Over the years, Anna Perlin has received numerous awards. Most notably she was the winner of Artists & Illustrators, Artist of the Year award in 2017. She was also a finalist for the Hertfordshire Landscape Artist of the Year in 2017, semi-finalist for the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2016 and Best in Show, for the Hertford Open exhibition in 2013.
Anna has created a unique collection of new & unseen artworks for her upcoming exhibition, Window Through the Seasons, 2 – 19 July 2019, which can be viewed at THACKERAY GALLERY Est.1968, Kensington.
