46 artists have put their work on the line for charity as part of a bold exhibition titled FaceValue3 (Dirty Work). Half of the artists have donated artworks, while the other half have manipulated these donated pieces. The creations will be moving over from the walls of Jealous East over to Jealous North where the auction will continue its success. All proceeds from the sale of the artworks are donated to The Katie Piper Foundation, which aims to make it easier to live with burns and scars.
FaceValue3 includes artists such as Gary Hume, Rankin, Sarah Maple, Charming Baker, Dan Baldwin, Fanakapan, Jessica Albarn, Hayden Kays, Sara Pope, Patrick Hughes and more. Curator and artist Gary Mansfield said “This exhibition is a way of exploring human vulnerabilities and seeing how the artists react to having someone else take control of their work. We’ve got some exciting collaborations going on that many of the artists don’t even know about – most of those involved haven’t got a clue who’s working on their pieces!
“So many lives have been changed by other people, in both positive and negative ways. Enraged with jealousy, a man Katie Piper had trusted paid someone to do his dirty work and attack her with acid, changing her identity forever. To give our artists a false sense of security, I told each donating artist that I was the artist assigned to manipulate their work. I had, in fact, assigned another to manipulate each on my behalf, to do my dirty work”.
Participating artists include Lee Ainsworth , Jessica Albarn, Mila Alexander, Franko B, Charming Baker, Dan Baldwin, Dave Buonaguidi, Ryan Callanan, Alexander Chappell, The Connor Brothers, Geraldine Crimmins, Bill Daggs, Kelly-Anne Davitt, Fanakapan, Flowers x2, Alex May Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Gary Hume, Alice Irwin, Jealous Inc, Heath Kane, Hayden Kays, Olivier Kemp, Kate Knight, MC Llamas, Mick McNicholas, Gary Mansfield, Emily Malice, Sarah Maple, Michelle Mildenhall, Benjamin Murphy, Zoe Moss, Sara Pope, Pure Evil, Rankin, Reichardt&Osborne, Rugman, Si Sapsford, Shuby, Nick Smith, Gina Soden, James Unsworth, Justin Verdi, Nettie Wakefield, Ronnie Wood and Richard Woods.
