Fast-paced change characterises today’s fashion consumption. The exhibition Fast Fashion – Slow Fashion takes a critical look at the problematic consequences of this approach for fashion designers and manufacturers as well as the environment. Using young creative Berlin labels as examples, the exhibition also introduces new methods and concepts for a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to clothing. Fast Fashion – Slow Fashion encourages visitors to question their own consumer behaviour.
The exhibition was developed at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg. The MEK will enhance the “Slow Fashion” segment for the Berlin presentation. A magalog will be published to accompany the exhibition.
An exhibition of the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MKG) in cooperation with the Museum Europäischer Kulturen – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
